Hide magnetic letters around the house and have your toddler find them. They’ll learn their ABCs while having fun. To make it a little easy, just place them in a small section of the house.
Nature scavenger hunt
Create a list of items for your toddler to find outside, like rocks, leaves and flowers.
For even more fun, add some animals: lizards, birds, frogs.
Indoor obstacle course
Use couch cushions, pillows and blankets to create an obstacle course in your living room. Your toddler will love crawling, climbing and jumping their way through it.
Caution: Things may get messy.
Create Sensory bottles
Fill up some plastic bottles with items like rice, glitter and small toys for a fun sensory experience.
Let them squish it, crunch it, pop it, pull it.
Bonus: it’s also a great calming activity.
Homemade slime
Kids love slim, it’s slimy, messy, ooey and gooey.

Cloud dough
Mix flour and oil to create a moldable, soft dough that feels like a cloud.

Bury some plastic dinosaurs in a tray of dirt and let your toddler dig them up.
It’s like being a little paleontologist!
Mirror play
Get a couple different mirrors, place them on the ground and let your toddler explore their reflection.
They might even try to give themselves kisses!
DIY balance beam
Use masking tape to create a balance beam on the floor.
Your toddler will love practicing their balance and coordination.
Water play
Fill a large container with water and let your toddler splash around.
